Why do I suggest EMDR Intensives?
EMDR Intensives are longer and more personalized than standard weekly EMDR services. Clients who opt for intensives can reach more targets with less focus on daily issues and stabilization.
Intensives offer longer sessions to get more work done. Traditional weekly sessions require time to get started with reprocessing work and about ten to fifteen minutes to end the session each time you come in. With longer sessions, you're in the healing mindset and covering more ground without needing to stop and start treatment.
Intensive Services are not covered by insurance.
We like to be upfront on intensive pricing, since this is a thoughtful commitment you're making to your mental health. We understand that using insurance is a need for most clients.
Intensives are NOT covered by insurance, and we cannot submit claims for any intensive services.
With intensive services, it's possible to complete treatment in far less sessions than with weekly EMDR therapy depending on your needs. If you have a high deductible, or even high copayments, you could spend more on weekly sessions using insurance than with Intensive EMDR services.
I offer EMDR intensives at a $250.00/hour rate. Length of the intensive depends on your needs, and what goals we establish during our intake appointment.
